SIGNA Infrastructure India Ltd was incorporated in 18th August 2006. SIGNA is a joint venture enterprise of MARG Ltd and Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO). The Joint Venture between MARG and HUDCO is the fourth of the JVs entered by HUDCO after being declared as Mini Ratna in August 2004 and the only one in South India. In this Joint Venture MARG and HUDCO hold 74% and 26% of shares respectively. SIGNA brings synergy of strength with combination of Technical know-how from HUDCO and the experience in Project Implementation from MARG. The focus area of SIGNA is large Infrastructure Projects of Central & State Governments, which require PPP (Public Private Partnerships).

Every year, about 5.5% of Indian GDP is invested in Infrastructure Industry (nearly $30 billion). Infrastructure spending planned by Planning Commission, GoI, over next five years is about $475 billion as per the suggestions of Parekh Committee to sustain the Economic Growth of 8%. With such immense opportunity at the door steps of SIGNA, it will create value for its Share Holders by contributing towards the infrastructure industry.
